POPL, the annual Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages addresses many fundamental principles and outstanding innovations in all aspects of programming languages, programming interfaces and programming systems, such as design, definition, analysis and implementation. The papers to be presented in conferences can be either theoretical or experimental works. The topics vary from formal frameworks to experience reports.
ACM SIGPLAN (Association of Computing Machinery Special Interest Groups Programming Languages) explores programming language concepts and tools, focusing on design, implementation, practice, and theory. Its members are programming language developers, educators, implementers, researchers, theoreticians and users. ACM SIGs sponsor more than 170 computing conferences, workshops, and symposia around the world, including POPL that is in cooperation with ACM SIGACT and ACM SIGLOG.
The POPL 2022 is the 49th ACM SIGPLAN Symposium on POPL (Principles of Programming Languages) to be held between January 16 and January 22, 2022, in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
